New Plastic Product Development

Design of plastic product requires knowledge, expertise and most importantly experience. When one of these is missing, the new plastic product development process is carried out on the trial and error basis. In this work CAE tools were used for the new plastic product development. Plastic product design was analysed by finite elements method. Also, various product designs were examined by means of two different types of mould filling simulation. The results obtained from these simulations were compared and analysed. These results were in turn used in the mould development process and for the process parameters optimisation.
