The influence of weft yarn characteristics on tensile strength of woven fabrics in warp direction

The tensile strength in warp and weft direction is one of the basic characteristics of woven fabrics. It depends on the tensile strength of the yarn used in the direction of testing, thair density and weave characteristics as well as of density and characteristics of yarn in perpendicular system. Article is trying to asses the influence of weft yarn characteristics on tensile strength of woven fabric in warp direction. The experimental part is provided on specimens made in the same conditions on the loom (warp and weft tension), with all equal constructional parameters (the same fineness and density of warp, the same density of weft and the same weave) but characteristics of weft yarn (type of yarn, fineness, row material, tensile strength, elongation.
