Developing Modern Telecom Services Using Communication Patterns for Concurrent and Distributed Objects

Modern software communication industry is constantly challenged with development of high-performance communication services. These services enable users to use wide range of communication devices such as various PDAs, mobile phones etc. Communication market appeals for rapid software development of communication software components. Competition between vendors in communication systems industry rises on daily basis. Sometimes, systems are sold before they actually got developed. The results are products that are late in their delivery, products with poor quality and low stability, or products that are unable to satisfy all quality of service (QoS) requirements, which are mandatory for modern telecom services. Customer's satisfaction in operating, maintaining and experiencing those services is degraded. Addressing these problems has never been so crucial ; software architects use pattern-oriented software design techniques, which help them in architecting, designing and implementing software solutions. Architectural and design patterns provide a common solution for common, recurring problems when designing systems. They enable system vendors to get valid, stable, technology change-proof and scalable system architectures.
