Investigating a possibility to implement 24-month cycle in NPP Krško

The technical feasibility of a NPP Krško reload core for a 24-month cycle has been shown. The equilibrium cycle core model for uprated NPP Krško conditions using the computer code package FUMACS has been developed. 24-month eqilibrium cycles for split feed enrichment batches of 68 and 72 fresh fuel assemblies were generated in that model. The analysis of these preliminary loading patterns for 24-month equilibrium cycles showed that it is possible to design the 24-month cycle cores for the NPP Krško from a fuel management standpoint.
