Hardness measurement in weld joints of high strength steels by contur and tangential method
Considering importance of hardness values in weld joints of high strength steels (HSS), authors use experimentally obtained data describes possibilities which come out from application of contour and tangential method of hardness measurement in weld joints e.g. HSS. Importance of these approaches to hardness measurement is great because hardness is one of the most important characteristics of steel weldability. This testing is simple to perform and they are cheaper compering with other mechanical properties testing at weld joints. So, if value of hardness is not satisfying it could be sign that something should be changed to obtain quality weld joint without some other very expensive investigations.
