Aerobna mikroflora subgingivnog područja u protetskih pacijenata s implantatima
Dental cavity flora is very complex. The purpose of study was to analyse the state of the periodontal parameters and the structure of the subgingival microflora in patients with implant-supported restorations. The research was conducted on 28 patients aged approximately 46.9, who had no previous medical record of periodontal diseases and were no controlled since the implants were inserted. Plaque index (PD), pocket depth (PD) and gingival bleeding index (GBI) were measured. By means of paper-point techniques and culture procedure of subgingival area five pathogenic anaerobic bacteria, Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Prevotella intermedia, Prevotella oralis and Campylobacter rectus were found. Values of clinical parameters and isolated bacteria represent thel findings for occurence of perimplantitis and consequently the loss of the biological durability of prosthetic restorations inserted on the implants.
