Driver Safety, Security and Health Protection in Mobile Communications Environment
Paper discusses some important safety and security issues related with in-car use of mobile communications terminals. The basis question are driver safety, security and authentication system and real risk of people exposure to electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones and similar mobile terminals. Although several authors regard that only danger from mobile communications is that lead to higher rate of accidents when drivers use them, other suggest that existed standards to calculate people exposure to electromagnetic radiation are inadequate. Instead of the assumption that nonionizing radiation only affects living tissues via heating, another damage processes due to mobile phone emissions that causes precursors or secondary burst of radiation inside living tissue, need to be considered. The precautionary principle is suggested to be applied to regulation of risk of human exposure to radiofrequency emissions from mobile/wireless communication systems.
