D(+)glucose Determination Using Electrochemical Sensors
The quantity of gluconic acid produced by the action of glucose-oxydase on the D(+)glucose has been detected using direct potentiometry and potentiometric titration (H+ and Pt electrodes). The parameters affecting this enzymatic reaction have been investigated (enzyme and substrate concentration, pH, temperature, ionic strenth, enzyme stability in water solution, effect of inhibitors), thus providing optimal conditions for quantitative, reproducible and sensitive method of D(+)glucose determination in water solutions.
