Permian and Lower Triassic Facies of Velebit Mt. and the Gorski Kotar Region (NW Part of External Dinarides)

Outcrops of the Carboniferous, Permian and Lower Triassic rocks are examined at locations in the mountain region of Gorski Kotar and in the vicinity of Brušane at Mt. Velebit. Recent investigations, especially in the field of sedimentology, revised the known chronostratigraphic determination. Some sedimentological and stratigraphic problems still remain unsolved.
