Solving the Face Milling Optimisation Problem by Evolutionary Algorithm
In this paper, an optimisation model of multi-pass face milling operation is formulated. Also, the evolutionary computation approach, namely genetic algorithm (GA), is used for the optimisation of cutting parameters. The adopted approach is based on the multi-criterion optimisation bearing in mind that an optimum economic balance between the unit machining cost and the unit machining time yields a maximum profit rate. The estimation contains the weight coefficient so that the profit rate level may be modelled.
