The Piecewise Full Decoupling Method for Vibrating Systems with Clearances
The piecewise full decoupling method is a new numerical method for predicting the steady state response of the piecewise linear dynamic system under periodic excitation. This method based on piecing local linear solutions is applied for solving a three-degree-of-freedom semi-definite system with clearance. Close agreement is found between obtained results and the published findings of a harmonic balance method and a finite element method in time domain.
