IKA Gas Field-Reservoir Characterization and Modeling
IKA field is a multi-pool gas field in the southern part of Nothern Ariatic. The field was discovered by the J-18/1 well in1978. From the end of seventies 15 additional wells were drilled. Several preliminary studies have been performed in order to evaluate the production potential of IKA field. During 1997, the acquisition of the 3D seismic volume was done. The revision of hydrocarbon potential, based on the results of 3D seismic unterpretation integrated with the available well data, started in 1997 as a part of feasibility study., with main objective to update and to optimize previou development plans. The scope of the reservoir study, presented here is to update the previous development plan according to the geological and dynamic model of the field.
