Price and Exchange rate Distortions as Determinants of Competitiveness in Croatian Economy in the Process of Globalization
Analysis of the position of the Croatian economy in the process of globalization, has to be directed towards input prices and their distortions as crucial determinants of the comparative advantages. Planed economy multilayer macroeconomic unbalance and expectations of inflation, devaluation and depreciation based on the one decade long period of price and exchange rate unstability, have produced strong distortions of prices of inputs and products. Goal of this paper is to explore how did process of transition and stabilisation contributes to the price distortion removal.
