Passive smoking and ventilatory parameters in young soccer players. A pilot study
The study was performed in order to determine differences in some pulmonary functions in young soccer pšlayers that were exposed to the cigarette smoke in their homes. The t-test for independent samples showed no significant differences in FVC, FEV1, %FEV1 and FEP25-75% between the two groups. There was also no predictive power established for %FEV1 values by means of multiple regression analysis for any of the analysed variable (maternal, paternal or guest smoking at their homes).
