Thermophysiological Comfort of Workwear
In contemporary industrial processes, workwear plays a protective, a thetmophisiological and aesthetic role, so a lot of attention has been paid to the investigations in the field of workwear design. Key factors of workwear comfort are described here, together with an easy and efficient way of performing exact measurements, analysis and evaluation of these factors. The impact of workplace microclimatic conditions on workwear comfort in the process of industrial sewing is experimentally determined. The measurements of some factors of comfort regarding skin surface temperature, workwear surface temperature and heat flux on the operative's skin surface and workplace microclimatic conditions as well as the estimation of the operatives subjective feeling of comfort, were done with the operative wearing gowns of various raw material content in real in-plant conditions. Workplace microclimatic conditions are defined by the temperature, relative humidity, air velocity and air cleanliness.
