Učinkovitost insekticida za tretiranje sjemena uljane repice
Seed dressing method, which target was to protect roots and young plants from the autumn pests of the oilseed rape, can be considered as an ecologically and economically recommended method (Igrc Barčić, Maceljski, 2001). If the systemic insecticides are applied, instead contact ones, the range of controlled foliage pests can be enlarged (Dobrinčić, 2002, Igrc Barčić et al., 2000). In the three year trials (2000– 2002) the efficacy of the 3 seed dressing insecticides against the autumn pests of oil seed rape was investigated: Mesurol FS 500 (methiocarb), Promet 400 SC (furathiocarb) and Chinook FS 200 (imidacloprid + betacyfluthrin). The influence of the applied insecticides on the degree of the damages caused by turnip sawfly (Athalia rosae Christ.), flea beetle (Phyllotreta spp.) and rape flea beetle (Psyliodes chrysocephala L.). The attack of the rape weevil (Ceutorrhynchus pipcitarsis Gyll.) larvae was not recorded. Obtained results show that the quantity of the product ( cca 100 ml/ha) used per 1 ha is insufficient for the predictable protection of the oil seed rape from the autumn pests. Obtained results indicate that predictable protection could be reached by seed dressing only if a higher dosage of insecticides can be applied on the seed.
