Sažetak
This article presents the results of the lab tests and numerical analyses done on the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb. The lab tests were done on real specimens of glulam timber beams of 3.9 m span. Tested were beams with stright and with radial arched intrados, and with double-pitched extrados. The numerical analyses were done by using FEM software COSMOS/M 2.5. The mean goal of the tests was to determine the possibility of the strengthening the glulam timber beams by using FRP plates.
