Some factors concerning the issue of forest fires in the Mediterranean part of the Republic of Croatia

There are no substantial temperature differences between the observed islands in the three summer months: June, July and August. There are, however, differences in the duration of fires and the size of burned areas on the islands of Rab and Korčula. These differences are considered to be the result of differently organised fire control on the islands under observation.
