Influence and application of a designer's knowledge and abilities in the development of an article of clothing

The aim of this paper is to comprehensively present the influence as well as the methods of applying design knowledge and abilities in developing a garment. A team of leading experts taking part in developing and creating autumn/winter and spring/summer collections should harmonize the activities involved. In the experimental section more relevant moments of creating garments in several garment-manufacturing companies of Croatia are dealt with.
