Parameters of power system relevant for frequency changes

The paper describes a mathematical model for studying power system (PS) frequency changes. The model provides the basis for economical calculations of frequency transients during time range of primary control, enabling problems associated with dynamic balance of generation and load to be studied. An insight is also given for a study of the application of load-shedding relays in Croatian PS. The most important and the most influencing parameters are considered in order to ensure better insight on their effects to response.
