Report of ruminotomy in the catlle at surgery clinic of Veterinary faculty in Zagreb from 1983 to 1998
In this paper ruminotomy was described as an important dignostic method in resolving all problems concerned with alimentary canal's diseases in the cow, and esspecialy those diseases which we classify in traumatic indigestions, which again make 80% of all indigestions. The importance of the method can be seen in the fact that with this method we can resolve all unclear conditions which by their symptoms resemble traumatic indigestion. With ruminotomy and endoruminal palpation we can diagnose the pathological conditions of the alimentary canal which usually aren't consequence of activity of some foreign body (like alimentary indigestion, dislocation abomasum, the liver diseases, abscesses of the liver, bile retention and so on). The results presented in this study are with accordance with the current literature.
