Adaptation response of microalgae to stressors in aquatic ecosystems and potential application
The response of microalgae to climate change has been studied at a variety of spatial and temporal scales, through both laboratory and field research and modeling, and microalgae are believed to be a rapid and reliable indicator of change in aquatic ecosystems. However, understanding the response of microalgae at the cellular level in terms of cell barrier behavior and hard-to-reach surface properties is still poorly understood. In the talk, the results of the influence of abiotic stressors on the adaptive response of microalgae of different cell barrier complexity under laboratory [1, 2], partially natural conditions, and the potential application will be presented [3].
