Maximum Fillet Stress of Thin-Rimmed Gear During One Engagement Cycle
On the basis of the developed pinion-gear 3D FEM model that enabled the load sharing for double pair tooth contact taken into account, standard spur gear tooth stress state was determined. Considering single and double pair tooth contact, the stress analysis was performed for one engagement cycle. To examine critical positions on the line of action in relation to maximum fillet stress, the variation of maximum tangential stress component and equivalent stress on tensile side of the loaded tooth for the gear with certain geometrical parameters, was observed in relation to the influence of rim thickness and actual gear facewidth.
