Digital literacy has become a key work ability andskill in modern public administrations, while digitalisationand the green economy are development priorities in theEuropean Union. The hypotheses are focused on the necessityof a satisfactory level of digital literacy among localgovernment employees, as a prerequisite for launching andimplementing sustainable mobility projects that are oftenmostly funded by EU funds. Digital literacy was assessedthrough a survey that was conducted among employees oflocal self- government units in Croatia. Desktop analysismethods were used, i.e. a comprehensive literature re-viewand case studies in combination with the survey method. Theresults of the research confirm the hypothesis that themajority of employees of local self-government units inCroatia have a satisfactory level of digital literacy, which isrelated to the introduction and monitoring of sustainablemobility in local self-government units.
