Application of the Milling Machine Vibration Signal for Cutter Condition Monitoring
As a continuing effort in researching the influence of the working milling machine parameters on the vibration, a new series of measurements were conducted using experiences from the previous measurements. In order to keep the results comparable to the previous ones some of the working parameters were kept the same , eg. tool geometry, cutting speed, material and geometry of the workpiece. This time an important part of the research was tool wear during the work of the milling machine. The acceleration was used as the vibration signal and it was monitored booth as a function of time and as a function of frequency.
