The site Crkvišće-Bukovlje in Central Croatia: Identifying Copper Age pottery from disturbed stratigraphy
The site Crkvišće-Bukovlje is situated on an elevated position above the Mrežnica river. It was originally excavated because of the remains of the late antique church, but it soon became evident that the site was settled during eneolithic, late bronze and early iron age.Four horizons have been recognized, the earliest one belonging to the period of late Lengyel culture, 2nd and 3rd belonging to Lasinja culture and the latest one to the Baden culture.
