Experimental Determining of Hydrodinamic Characteristics of a Gas Pressure Regulator ZR DN 25
Experimental determining of hydrodynamic characteristics of a direct gas pressure regulator for low inlet pressure has been carried out. The characteristics has been obtained for constant outlet pressure at given mass flow rate range and variable inlet pressure. Constant outlet pressure at variable flow rate provides for accurate flow measurement and stable operation of gas appliances. The gas pressure regulators for low inlet pressure are devices for maximum inlet pressure up to 100 mbar, outlet pressure ranging from 8 to 33 mbar (depending on gas type), and flow rate up to 25 m3/h. A model of fluid flow through the low pressure regulator has been defined, and approximate expressions that quantify main hydrodynamic characteristics of tested regulator are given. In this paper, a functional dependence is determined of the local loss coefficient, KR, on main hydrodynamic characteristics of the Rombach ZR-20-D1" service pressure regulator.
