Modeling of transient eddy currents - a system identification approach
The purpose of this paper is to present a novel approach in the modeling of transient eddy currents. The frequency-domain model is used to build-up the z-domain, finite impulse response (FIR) model. The FIR model allows change in excitation without need for the field analysis to be performed again. Furthermore, LMS modeling of the system function allows, unlike the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) unequally spacing of the frequency samples. This gives possibility of the better accuracy of the modeling in the highly varying parts of the system function in the frequency domain.
