Metaverse and the future of business and communication

Interpersonal trust is, according to behavioral economists and scholars in the field of social psychology, an important element of human interaction. Communication scholars also amplify the significance of trust in interpersonal relation and communication. With the rise of virtual spaces and virtual words and digital artefacts such as crypto-currencies the importance of trust may become the key issue of human interdependence and cooperation. In this paper authors examine theoretical and empirical concepts of trust applied to different virtual and mixed reality settings from the economic and communication perspective.
