Impact of environmental loads on ship speed based on simulated data

In recent years, great importance has been given in order to improve the efficiency of maritime transport and to reduce exhaust emissions into the ship's environment. Although the impact of environmental loads on ship speed is being extensively researched so far, this area should be given even greater importance. This is precisely the reason for choosing the topic of the impact of environmental loads on ship speed as the goal of the research in this paper. For the purpose of this research simulating of various conditions of external disturbances where performed with analysis of their impact on ship navigation parameters. Moreover, the analysis and discussion of the collected data were performed, and one practical example of a possible application related to the real world ship economy analysis is given.
