Mentoring as a didactic phenomen
Modern school should prepare students for independant and better orientation and coping with unforeseeable life and work situations of their unpredictable future. Mentoring has the key role in this process. During the teaching process teachers will eventually take the role of coaches, mentors and intermediaries. They will help students in finding their way through the information maze so that they could choose relevant and useful information. Mentoring implies building intensive partnership between mentor and student in which both parties are motivated for studing and developing trustful relationship. Mentoring is not simply mentor`s transfer of knowledge and experience to a student, but is also a dynamic active process that goes both ways between a mentor and a student in their work environment and is directed towards development and growth of both participants. Mentoring as a system is a didactic phenomenom which should dominate teaching practice in the future.
