The system for automatical control of blast-furnace charging

The CHARGE system operates a Paul Wurth charging device and appreciably outperforms the original control system both functionally and operationally. The system has a blocked structure and all its subsystems share one information base. Each block is a self – contained automatic subsystem capable of independent operation. The major function of the weighing block is to define charge weight to be dumped at each chute position based on the position count and the operator’s instruction. The division relative error is considerably less than under the control of original system, because the original control system has not used the predictions. Imaging subsystem conveniently presents the process of dumping, laying and distributing materials at the furnace top with the help of the original mathematical model.
