Cu-Al -Sn system low-alloyed alloys properties investigation
The best of investigated alloys within Sn and Al variation indicated ranges has ultimate tensile strength Rm = 220 ... 300 MPa, tensile yield strength Re 0.2 = 115 ... 130 MPa, specific elongation A5 = 20 ... 30 %, impact toughness KCU = 50... 120 J/cm2 and hardness BH = 770 ... 830 MPa. Cast alloy free linear shrinkage value is 1, 31 ... 1, 49 %, absolutely difficult linear shrinkage is 0, 39 ... 0, 43 %. Alloy transition temperature from ductile to elastic state during cooling in casting mold is 255 ... 305 °С. It has been found that for developed alloy with aluminum and tin content increasing, A5, KCU and Rm values decrease. Re 0.2 value increases with content of both Al and Sn in bronze increasing.
