Control of Roads as a Feudal Manor Creation Strategy: The Example of the Counts of Krk
Medieval noble kin of Counts of Krk before the 1300 managed to control an impressive feudal manor that included several historical counties and territories (terra). Author of the article examines motives and principles of the Counts’ of Krk in the period of the rise of their political power. Regarding their territorial dispersal, author implements the Central Places Theory as a methodological tool in the reconstruction of their motives.
