A Novel IoT Sensor for Real-Time Crop Monitoring of Chlorophyll Fluorescence
The Internet of Things (IoT) offers many data collection use cases that can be used in agriculture for example to increase maize yield. IoT sensors can be used for real-time crop monitoring of chlorophyll fluorescence in order to track crop state and detect early signs of stress caused by varying weather conditions. In this research, we developed an IoT sensor for assessing the physiological state of maize crops based on a non-invasive method that generates data by measuring the spectral response of maize and chlorophyll fluorescence. Collected data will help in the in-time application of agrotechnological measurements and improve yield.
