LoRaWAN Parameters Optimization For Efficient Communication
The option of LoRa devices to change some transmission parameters like gain, spreading factor and coding rate makes it adaptable to certain conditions such as greater distances between the receiver and the transmitter, as well as the type of area in which the device is located. In this paper, different combinations of parameters, such as gain, spreading factor and coding rate are used to measure signal strength and signal to noise ratio at various distances between the transmitter and receiver. Different scenarios were selected to analyze the propagation of LoRa signals at different distances and environments. The collected data was analyzed and a conclusion was given for different combinations of parameter settings.
