Creating a responsive design system for a presentation of the product through a transparent interactive screen
Design system is a set of applied rules that need to manage design as a cohesive unit with using reusable components and patterns. These systems are made of numerous components, styles, patterns, properties, and guidelines that work together towards optimizing the design. The methodology for creating design systems is called atomic design that separates elements into atoms, molecules, organisms, templates, and pages. The elements every design needs to have are line, shape, form, colour, and texture. Design is very user oriented and follows a set of laws of human perception called Gestalt principles that describe how would humans group elements, simplify shapes and reorganize patterns. These laws are oriented towards similarity, proximity, closure, symmetry, continuity, figure or ground. Designers also need to know how to use the principles of design such as contrast, balance, emphasis, proportion, hierarchy, repetition, rhythm, pattern, white space, movement, variety, and unity. All this knowledge needs to be allocated to wireframes that show the page’s interface and its functionalities and behaviours. With all this information in the back of the head, the idea was developed on the interactive box that would show just how important design system is to responsivity and adaptivity towards any project that designers take on. Additionally, how to bring technology and design development to regular retail stores and incorporate interactive behaviour between humans and advanced technology to everyday life.
