Grisel's syndrome and Covid infection in children: two case reports
It is characterized by acute and painful torticollis with fever, resulting from complicated pharyngitis and tonsillitis. The underlying cause of atlantoaxial subluxation is believed to be increased laxity of joint ligaments and increased flexibility. The etiology can be either inflammation of surrounding soft tissues or manipulation of the patient’s head during head and neck operations.
