Asinus in Tegulis—basing stark warning messages on insufficient methodology
Over the past eight decades, the radioactive iodine isotope 131I (RAI) has gained widespread use in the therapy of hyperthyroidism and diferentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). In spite of>80 years and millions of patients treated, acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains the only malignant disease that is universally accepted to be conclusively associated with RAI, and even then only with high 131I activities and very small absolute risk levels (1).
