Ramifications of the greenhouse effect: a closed vehicle example

In this contribution, ramifications of the greenhouse effect on a closed vehicle exposed to solar radiation are discussed. The Earth’s atmosphere-the vehicle is considered a system which physical background of energy transfer and transformations are analyzed. Based on the physics presented, a product is proposed: barium sulphate window covers that would minimize the effect. Such covers are easy to assemble, can be DIYed, preserve vehicle interior, and lover fuel consumption due to air-conditioning temperatures, which have the second most negative effect on the fuel economy.
