Effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the perception of tourists attending La Vuelta (2019 vs 2021)

Parallel activities, such as La Vuelta park or the promotional caravan, have been affected by COVID- 19, reducing their activity and with it the appreciation of tourists. After a period of limitations against the COVID-19 pandemic, being able to attend a sporting event has led to greater excitement among spectators, although security measures (keeping distance between spectators and the use of masks) have limited the possibility of meeting new people compared to 2019. The rating of the locations and future intentions are very similar between both editions, with the intention to repeat the experience being the most highly rated item on the scale in 2019 and 2021.
