Comment on “High Mixing Entropy Enhanced Energy States in Metallic Glasses”
The authors of Ref. [1] dismissed a possible compositional contribution to the variations of the thermal stability and mechanical parameters studied (Figs. 1(b) and 4, Table 1 of Ref. [1]), which, as illustrated in Fig. 1, may not be justified. As seen in Fig. 1, the variations of the crystallization temperature and the yield strength with the total amount of late transition metals (TLs), x = xCu+xNi (in atomic percent), are qualitatively the same as the variations with ΔSmix in Figs. 1(b) and 4(a) in Ref. [1].
