Bacterial diversity from sardine and anchovy gills
A total of 60 isolates were isolated from the sardine and identified as Psychrobacter immobilis, Psychrobacter namhaensis, Psychrobacter Alimentarius, Vibrio gigantis, Vibrio tasmaniensis. 70 isolates from anchovy gills were identified as Vibrio gigantis, Vibrio pomeroyi and Psychrobacter immobilis, Vibrio fortis , Vibrio europaeus. From vessel surface isolates were identified as Psychrobacter immobilis, Psychrobacter namhaensis Vibrio gigantis, Vibrio tasmaniensis, Psychrobacter Alimentarius, Vibrio pomeroyi. Results showed similar bacterial flora from fish gills and vessels surface. Although the identified bacteria do not endanger the health of the fish, some of them such as Psychrobacter immobilis could cause ocular infection in humans.
