Optimal utilization of stationary battery storage and electric vehicle in a prosumer power system
By integrating renewable energy sources into their property, passive customers become active customers or prosumers. Current market conditions force prosumers to maximize self-consumption. This paper proposes an optimization model for the prosumer who owns a photovoltaic power plant, stationary electricity storage, and an electric vehicle in the current market conditions to provide minimization of electricity cost for the next day. The proposed model ensures a controllable charging power for the electric vehicle battery to make the best possible utilization of the electricity needed to charge the electric vehicle battery. The research compares the controllable and constant charging power of the electric vehicle battery through several scenarios of electricity demand and generation of the household. Real measurement data of the prosumer are used. The results show significant savings for different modes of charging power of the electric vehicle battery and in combination with the stationary battery storage.
