Quadrilateral 2D Finite Elements with Enhanced Fixed-Pole Interpolation in Linear Analysis of Micropolar Continuum

The fixed-pole concept has been applied to linear analysis of the micropolar continuum. The enhanced fixed-pole interpolation provides better convergence towards the solution than the Lagrangian interpolation. Development of robust micropolar finite elements is of vital importance for future progress of the micropolar continuum theory. In the future work, the enhanced fixed- pole interpolation will be also applied to the dynamic analysis of the micropolar continuum.
