The relationship between motor and functional abilities and school success of primary school students
Motor and functional abilities are crucial for the overall development of students. This paper aims to correlate motor skills, measured by various motor tests, to school success. The research was conducted with pupils (n = 189) of subjects taught in several schools in the Republic of Croatia. The results of motor skills tests were connected with each subject and overall school success. Regression analysis revealed a significant correlation between individual motor tests and individual subjects, as well as the overall grade point average. As expected, success in Physical Education and Health has the highest correlation with motor tests, while success in Foreign Language has the least correlation with motor tests.
