Optimization of circulating flow sono- electrochemistry for mineral oil removal
In this paper, the optimization of circulating flow sono-electrochemistry for mineral oil removal is investigated. The multilevel categorical design was used to study the effects of aeration, electrode distance and ultrasound intensity on mineral oil removal efficiency. According to the experimental results, the highest mineral oil removal efficiency of 97.17% was obtained when the electrodes were placed at a distance of 5 mm and with a US intensity of 9.3 kW/m2. Aeration had no effect on the removal efficiency.
