Recent advances and perspectives in diagnostics and degradation of electrochemical hydrogen compressors

In this paper, a literature overview of progress and current state-of-the-art of electrochemical hydrogen compressors (EHCs) is presented, with emphasis on their performance diagnostics, durability testing methods and possible degradation mechanisms which could affect the desired performance. The review also critically gives current technology shortcomings and challenges, mostly considering the existing testing procedures issues of EHC state-of-health, but also suggests potential development ideas for improvements in perspective.
