Consequences of GloBal Warming
In its geological past Earth has gone through several cold (ice ages) and warmer periods. Earth is now in the warmer period, but the average increase in global temperature, called global warming, which has been happening in the last hundred years, especially in the last 70 years, takes up special attention and causes significant concern of the scientific community. Global warming refers to changes within the climate system that have resulted in an increase in the average temperature on the Earth's surface since the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. Recent changes in global climate are largely attributed to human activities, and its direct consequence, but also an additional cause is the increase in global temperature. Climate change, which occurs due to global temperature increase, has different and long-term impacts on the environment and wildlife. This paper gives an overview of the impacts and consequences of the recent climate change on the ecosystem, weather conditions, seas and oceans and glaciers.
