Rezultati analiza biljnih ostataka
The analysis of 69116 plant macrofossils showed that 98% of the finds belong to cultivated species (cereals and legumes), and the remaining 2% of the plants are useful tree species whose fruits were gathered for food, and weeds that were accidentally brought to the Late Bronze Age house. The most important plant food at Kalnik-Igrišče were cereals, and the largest representation belongs to Panicum miliaceum (millet) and Hordeum vulgare (barley). During the Bronze Age, the most commonly used cereals in the studied area (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Italy, and Serbia) were Hordeum vulgare, Triticum turgidum ssp. dicoccum, T. aestivum ssp. aestivum, Panicum miliaceum, and, to a lesser extent, Triticum monococcum ssp. monococcum.
